Brand Identity
A zoo should be more than a destination for people on the weekend, it should inspire people to better understand nature and how to protect it. My inspiration for Santa Barbara Zoo’s new identity stems from the primal connection shared between humans and animals.
The line of the new logo connects five circles together, which represents the connectivity of the zoo. The line ends with lion’s and tiger’s tails; these two animals represent the essential voice of the zoo: energetic and intelligent. The five circles in the logos represent the core tenets of the zoo: preservation, conservation, education, recreation, and research.
