The meaning of sex is different for everyone. Museum of Sex was my opportunity to explore the differences in human sexuality and try to express it in a meaningful way. The museum produces exhibitions, publications, and programs that bring the best of sexual scholarship and passion to the widest possible audience.
Sexual taboos inspired my identity system for the Museum of Sex. Sex in some countries is still a taboo and not a favorite topic to talk about in public. The elements within the logo were inspired by the old school pornography, with the iconic censor bar over the type. The censor doubles as a container, allowing people to fill in the word based on their unique perspectives on “sex.”
